There are times in your life when things come to a standstill. Dead halt. Full stop. You’ve been ripping and running, working and climbing, traveling and moving, making your way through the world. One day, things just stop. It can be abrupt or gradual, but you notice that what you’ve been doing just doesn’t work anymore. The way you’ve been operating no longer serves you. You’ve outgrown the parameters of the life you built, and it’s time to let go.
Letting go isn’t easy. Letting go of your previous identity, or what you believed identified you. Letting go isn’t easy. Letting go of hopes and dreams that have long passed their expiration date. Letting go isn’t easy. Letting go of previous versions of your self that no longer fit.
However, letting go is the only way to move forward. Letting go is the answer. It’s scary to let go of the familiar and float into the unknown, but the alternative is worse. To be stuck in a never-ending cycle where there is no room for growth and redundancy takes over.
So stop standing still and take that leap. Let it all go.
