About

Welcome to my short story collection. Originally from the east coast, I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. Growing up on the east coast with a sister, my parents, and a variety of family pets, our life involved moving quite a few times for my father’s university jobs. Fortunately, creativity was encouraged and thrived in our household. It provided a much needed escape from reality. My childhood dream was to become a fashion designer, and after a lot of hard work, I was accepted to F.I.T. in NYC, which was possibly one of the happiest days of my life. That dream, sadly, due to my bad choices and naïveté, went sideways, took me far off of my path. If all roads lead to Rome, my Rome was NYC, where I finally returned to work as a freelance scenic artist, window dresser, prop and wardrobe stylist for theater and commercials. Eventually, the lure of Los Angeles came knocking at my door, and I decided to take a chance and give it a try. This attempt involved a multitude of bumps, bruises, and setbacks, which I was able to overcome, but not without a lot of hard work and grit.

To make a very long story short, I finally found success working as a professional freelance makeup artist, for tv, print, red carpet, and so much more. Those are the highlights, but I’ve taken a multitude of detours along the way. It’s been quite a ride so far, but it’s not over yet. So many stories to tell, so little time. Here, you will find humor, alongside sadness. Life is a journey, and although I am definitely over halfway through the trip, I’m nowhere near done yet. Consider this a pit stop along the way. A glance at the past, a bit of the present, and a glimpse into the future.

As I like to say, “ladies and gentlemen, put your beer goggles on, hold onto your hats, and tie down your wigs, ’cause it’s gonna be a bumpy ride!”
