Cybred

The unattainable was now commonplace. “Cybies” were designed to be highly intelligent, witty and charming. All of the sexes were based on various human ideals, amplified to the extreme. This meant that some of them had extraordinary body parts and features as well as specific abilities and characteristics which gave each generation an advantage over the competition.

Occasionally, however, there was an anomaly. An accident in processing which caused defects and flaws. In a world of unlimited beauty and capability, these subtle differences and errors in build and production became extremely desirable. The rarity of such uniqueness put a higher premium on those who retained some human traits or even perceived weaknesses. Their value began to increase as the “Cybies” homogenized rapidly into a few generic category options; athlete, model, genius, musician, politician and celebrity.

The rarity of an individualistic being was so prized that when the next generation came along, those who were “CybieX” were all loaded onto the export ships to colonize a new world and the previous generation of “Cybies” were abandoned on the original planet, where they eventually cannibalized themselves.
