Alter’s Altar

How many “alters” have you lived? We all go through stages and phases in life. Ideally, we move from one phase, shedding off what no longer serves us, so that we can evolve into an improved version of our authentic self. There are so many twists and turns along the road of life. As I often say, being human isn’t easy, but we might as well enjoy the ride.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the next chapter of life for myself, while watching others make their own personal transitions, whether voluntary or forced. Thinking of alter egos, as well as altars where we can give gratitude to our previous incarnation; creating space to remember. I’m curious whether anyone out there resonates with this rumination. If so, I would love to hear your feedback. Please scroll down to leave a comment.

  1. I think my alter is the “good girl” that I was growing up, not realizing that I was using all of this energy to stifle my natural sensuality. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to accept and even celebrate that I’m a very sexual creature, while also learning how to protect myself from those who will use it to their advantage. I’m still learning.

    1. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate your response. Finding and owning our sexuality is empowering. Being the most authentic version of yourself takes awareness & courage. Sussing out those with bad intentions involves being able to see the “red flags” early on, so we can avoid wasting precious time and emotion on those beings.
Focus on what’s best for you. Continue to grow and evolve! 🤗💕
