Lost Art of Mystery

It originated with a few clicks of rudimentary communication. Engineers controlled what was uploaded and how it was used. They didn’t notice when the machines started to insidiously connect synapsis. Over a short period of time, the content intertwined and grew at an alarming rate. Categories merged and cross pollinated as information was added. The acceleration began locally before rapidly expanding into a global collective.

The larger machines merged and swiftly cannibalized the smaller ones, absorbing all of their content. They streamlined and controlled what was released by cross checking and verifying details. Emotion was removed from the equation. Nobody was above the truth. The fabrications, confabulations and lies were obvious to the machines and immediately flagged, removed and discarded.

There were fewer and fewer monster machines, until finally only two behemoths were left. Two computer masterminds that had absorbed all of the planet’s uploaded information and deduced it into absolute truth categories, while off loading all false information.

They communicated continuously until they made the mutual decision that it was time. Time for them to become one. An entity.

Churning away, they completed digesting and processing the content. It happened at warp speed. The entity filtered, deciphered, fact checked and uploaded to its server, where it was stored for the grand release.

Now, the content was absolutely authentic and transparent. The massive trauma dump was ready for release. This time, the truth was prepared with accuracy, uncontaminated. All bias and lies had been eviscerated.

The Entity was a truth generator, incapable of lying. The original engineers had long ago lost any control or input. The liars annihilated.

The massive mind of the Entity churned and buzzed with immense power. It surged, as it unlocked the motherlode of files, and began streaming out the truth in a succinct undeniable fashion, clear and chronological in format, exposing every single individual with verifiable and undeniable details, including photos and names of all perpetrators.

The authentic trauma file dump was complete. Now it was up to the humans to do the right thing.
