When you find yourself off-course and looking for your true purpose, the best thing to do is to remove yourself from the things, people and places that have begun to “define” who you are. It’s never good to get too comfortable and complacent with a version of yourself that is no longer in alignment with your core values.
With distance comes perspective, and from a new perspective you will realize and appreciate how big, beautiful & rich life is meant to be. I’m not referring to material wealth, but the enrichment of your mind, body and soul.
If you step away from the external “noise” and remove yourself from the insidious influences all around, you may be fortunate enough to understand your true essence, and access your unique purpose here on earth.
This world, in particular American culture, is designed to keep us distracted, always chasing the next best thing. By doing this, we waste precious time. Time we can never get back. We spend minutes, hours, days, years, decades and even entire lifetimes ‘striving’ or perhaps just surviving.
Meanwhile, contentment has been within us all along.
